Shoup Glacier, near Valdez.  There are many outfitters throughout Alaska.  Kayaking is an excellent way to see parts of it that you are not likely to see any other way. The water is just as cold as  (perhaps colder than) you would expect from looking at all the ice floating around.  Capsizing is to be avoided, and the guides are quick to stay close to anyone who looks like they might.
